Why Sheila’s House Was Created

Sheila’s House was created out of a desire to help women who feel lost, overwhelmed, or without support during challenging times in life.

Many women face situations such as homelessness, addiction recovery, financial hardship, domestic struggles, or personal crises and simply need a safe place to regroup and move forward. We recognized the need for a compassionate environment where women could receive support while rebuilding their confidence and stability.

Our purpose is to help women transition from hardship to independence with dignity and hope.

Our Story

Sheila’s House was created as an extension of the kindness, compassion, and generosity of Sheila, a woman who dedicated much of her life to helping others in need.

Throughout her life, Sheila opened the doors of her home to women facing difficult circumstances, providing them with a safe place to stay until they were able to get back on their feet. She believed everyone deserves compassion, support, and a second chance during hard times.

Sadly, Sheila passed away from lung cancer on July 8, 2023. Although she is no longer with us, her dream, kindness, and caring spirit continue to live on through Sheila’s House and through the many women whose lives she touched and helped throughout her lifetime.

Today, Sheila’s House continues her legacy by providing women with a safe, supportive, and drug-free environment where they can heal, rebuild, and move toward a brighter future.
